Raised in Vienna by Turkish-Canadian parents, Aaron is a writer and director based in London.
His short film GETAWAY starring Shygirl, premiered at SXSW London 2025, and was featured in publications including i-D, Wonderland, and Bricks.
His play, THE E.U. KILLED MY DAD, staged at Jermyn Street won the Woven Voices Prize and was nominated for two Offies. His previous play, FOR A PALESTINIAN, enjoyed a sell-out 3-week run at the Camden People’s Theatre, before selling out the Bristol Old Vic Theatre. Both are published with Methuen Drama.
Aaron is currently developing plays with the Bush Theatre and Hampstead Theatre alongside a slate of TV & Film projects.
His previous work has won the BOLD Playwrights Prize and the Methuen Drama ‘Other’ Prize. He has been shortlisted for the Theatre503 International Playwriting Prize, the Etan Ilfeld Prize, and been longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize. He has been a member of numerous associations and groups including, the Old Vic Playwriting, Hampstead Theatre INSPIRE, Bush Theatre Emerging Writers, Royal Court Young Agitators, and London Library Emerging Writers.
Aaron also translates between German, Turkish, and English.
